My computer, manjaro operating system, linux often lagging when watching videos, and the keyboard and mouse are paralyzed. Can someone help me…
Sorry for my english is not good…
It can be any of a multitude reasons. Search and you will find that you are not alone.
If you still needs help you must apply below actions to your system as we need you to be using a clean up-to-date Manjaro system - only packages from official repo allowed.
- Save a list of foreign packages (AUR akind)
pacman -Qmq > ~/foreign-pkgs.txt
- Remove all packages built from AUR.
sudo pacman -R $(pacman -Qmq)
- Reboot the system
reboot
- Update your mirrorlist
sudo pacman-mirrors -c all -p all
- Run a full system update
sudo pacman -Syyu
- Reboot
reboot
Thanks for your help. I have followed those steps already. Now what should I do next?
My system: 1. OS: Majaro 21.2.0;
2. CPU:Core i3 GEN 6;
3. RAM: 8GB
4. SSD: 120 GB
I install manjaro dual boot windows.
Thank for your support .
I have installed teamviewer in my computer. Could you help me for a second? Thank for your support . Sorry for my english is not good…
Have you removed all AUR packages - if any - you have installed?
Do you have any swap configured? What is the output of
swapon
What is the output of
sudo sysctl -a | grep 'vm.'
Copy the text from your terminal → paste it → select the text → click on </>
in the reply toolbar. This ensures nicely formatted and readable text.
What is the output of
uname -a
Not enough information. Anyway, aside from copying the output of shell commands from @linux-aarhus, also run inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --width
to provide the full system information; I also suspect your computer is too old.

You could be running out of disk space
Please configure swap - Swap - Manjaro
Network latency - browser configuration - impossible to say - software rendering of videos in the browser will stress the CPU and create excessive heat - if heat cannot get away the system cripples.
It is well known that mitigations against cpu speculation vulnerabilities is a stomach punch crippling almost any system.
Removing mitagations can be done in /etc/default/grub
by adding the mitigations=off
to the config
CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="... mitigations=off ..."
Save and rebuild the config
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
