How do I change the default terminal in GNOME?

changing the default gnome terminal to xfce4 treminal in manjaro

GNOME Desktop

Open dconf Editor (sudo pacman -S dconf-editor) and go to org > gnome > desktop > application > terminal and change gnome-terminal to xfce4-terminal. This is how it should look:

Alternatively you can use this command:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal exec xfce4-terminal
