Since last update,no video on boot

Since last update to Manjaro, I am able to log in either via the greeter or via CLI only if I enter advanced grub options and remove the line load_video. Anything else and I am stuck with a blank screen, not even a cursor.

I am running it on a Intel i5-6200U laptop with Intel 520 graphics.

Kernel is 5.10.2-2-MANJARO

can you return

inxi -Fza --no-host
sudo mhwd-kernel -li
sudo mhwd -li

inxi -Fza --no-host

cannot include links in my post, cannot embed images, cannot paste the inxi output because the forum thinks it’s a web link.

sudo mhwd-kernel -li

Currently running: 5.10.2-2-MANJARO (linux510)
The following kernels are installed in your system:

  • linux510
  • linux54

sudo mhwd -li

Installed PCI configs:

              NAME VERSION FREEDRIVER TYPE

       video-linux 2018.05.04 true PCI

Warning: No installed USB configs!

Update: on 5.10 both savedefault and load_video rows must be deleted from the failsafe grub option in order to boot properly.

CTRL+ALT+F2 does not work (when it fails to boot).

So is there a way I can help resolving this issue even without the ability to post anything even resembling an hyperlink? I still have this issue and it is rendering using my laptop a pain.

The problematic part is probably “X.Org” in the output, please replace that with “XOrg”.

Thanks a lot mate.

Being exasperated by the issue I ended backing /home/ up and reinstalling Manjaro.
