Shutdown and Restart taking long

Hi everyone. Hope life is treating you well…

I’m getting long shutdown and restart times. It wasn’t always like this and use to be faster.

Here’s my journalctl -b -1 output but, I’m not really sure what to be looking for:

http://sprunge.us/GeWBPQ?bash

Per some other posts on the topic, I tried nowatchdog zswap.enabled=0 audit=0 but, that didn’t seem to help (not sure if it would have mattered, either way.)

Any direction would be appreciated, thanks!

Following the instructions here (which produced something similar to the command above but, I was able to digest it better):

https://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/Debugging/#diagnosingshutdownproblems

It led me to believe it was something to do with Docker (containerd in particular). I uninstalled it and Compose and it seems to be restarting in less than 10 seconds; vs 105 secs.

Not 100% it will stand or if that was the issue but, looks to be the case so far. I’ll see if it’s still fixed after reinstalling docker or not and report back if anything changes.

This thread has a potential fix and seems to have address the issue:

I’ll report back with any updates if containerd responds with an update or better/differently solution. For now, going to mark this as the solution, however.
