Since updating manjaro-kde-settings to version 20260210-2, when I use yay I get the warning that “archlinux-keyring: local (20260206-1) is newer than core (20260107-2.0)”. I’m kind of a newbie. Could someone advise (1) if I should try to downgrade archlinux-keyring to the version in core and (2) which pacman or other command I should use, if necessary, to downgrade?
At the moment, this would indeed be best, yes, because there has been a situation over at Arch with one or several package maintainers — I’m not sure — having abandoned their role, and as such, their signatures are no longer valid.
The archlinux-keyring in the core repository was rolled back to a previous version to reflect that, and if you plan on installing any additional software now, before Arch itself releases a new version of their keyring, then it is best to downgrade.
sudo pacman -Suu archlinux-keyring
… should do the job. ![]()
Thank you kindly for the quick response and for all the helpful information. I really appreciate learning how and why the core repository got rolled back.
