Setting lowest brightness using keys turns off the screen

Hey guys,
I’m using Manjaro XFCE edition. When I reduce screen brightness to lowest using keys, it turns off the screen. I can bring it back by increasing the brightness.
It works fine when I manage it through Power Manager. How can I define lowest screen brightness for keys?

Assign the hotkey for lowering the brightness to a shell script which checks for the current brightness and exits if the brightness value returned is the lowest possible for your system.

There is no way to do this on a distribution level.

Look at the /sys/class/backlight/* to get an idea.

If you are dimming your light - you will eventually turn it off.

This is the nature of a dimmer.
