Welcome to Manjaro! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

  1. Please read the information behind this link. It will help you to post necessary information. [HowTo] Provide System Information
  2. Please press the three dots below your post and then press the :pencil2:
  • If you give us information about your system, we can see what we’re talking about and make better suggestions.
  • You can do this by using inxi in a terminal or in console.
inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width
  • Personally identifiable information such as serial numbers and MAC addresses are filtered out by this command
  • Presenting the information in this way allows everyone to be familiar with the format and quickly find the items they need without missing anything.
  1. Copy the output from inxi (including the command) and paste it into your post.

why lightdm.service is disable ?

It is not disabled - it is enabled and even running
and a session for some user has been opened

From the two files that you posted
via your link
(the .mov in particular)
it looks like the update was still in progress.

Did it finish?

Let it finish.

Any idea ?

especially:

915.enable_psr=0 i915.enable_dc=0 i915.enable_fbc=0

Did you do this? Did you add these parameters?
It might be the reason … but I don’t know.

If you just installed and it immediately started acting up/not working - why not just try something else.
I3 is a community edition and I do not know anything about it.

Try a different kernel - but you said that you did that.

I have no clue!

Yess i add these parameters (915.enable_psr=0 i915.enable_dc=0 i915.enable_fbc=0) in /etc/default/grub but still not working, sometimes lightdm does not work anymore and I have a black screen without being able to connect when I touch some of its parameters or when I change the kernel
I really don’t see what more I can do I went back to KDE because it works well but it bothers me I would really like to switch to i3
Maybe it’s because i have procesor i5 intel 12th generation ?

If KDE edition works but this doesn’t, then it is some component of this i3 edition
or the kernel used
or your parameters …
I simply don’t know.

I have the impression that the i915 module does not work when I use I3wm I am waiting for help from others if possible thanks i turn on KDE for now…

Ok so i think i have a solution !!! step by step so if you use a laptop XPS 13 9315 with 12th generation intel you need to configure your kernel parameters with : 915.enable_psr=0 i915.enable_dc=0 i915.enable_fbc=0 exactly how you say @Nachlese but you need to add i915.force_probe=pci_id you can use this command : lspci -nn | grep VGA | sed -n "s/^.\+\[8086:\([[:alnum:]]\{4\}\)\].\+$/\1/p" for see your id and replace with it. You can also upgrade kernel to linux60 if you want more information just see :
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/intel_graphics
Thank All ! i think it’s the solution i dont see flickering with this
