i have a screen connected to my laptop that is a totaly functional desktop but just my laptop screen has a taskbar
looks like by default xfce only adds a single “panel” for the task bar and it’s on one screen.

This is also the case with KDE.
It is easy to place an additional panel. So there’s not really a problem.
