I have a second monitor that is hooked up to HDMI for my GPU. It has been working fine up until today. It is completely black and when I power cycle it only flickers on for a second before reverting to black. The LED indicator shows blue, indicating that it is receiving a signal and data from the GPU (it’s amber when it is asleep or not receiving data). When I use xrandr it displays the fact that I have an HDMI output so that all seems normal. It may be that the monitor is old but I don’t think so as it works in windows the last time I checked (2 days ago, and I’d check now but I need to leave it on for work until Thursday at least).
