When using simplescreenrecorder on x11 or green-recorder on wayland, there is some flickering happening fast, some of witch are closed windows that are appearing and disapearing fast,visible on the video recording despite being closed sometimes for a while.I also have cinnamon desktop installed and video recording seems to work there.(in my gnome I use “gnome” in the layouts switcher.
I found the solution thanks to Eric Dubois reporting same problem or arcolinux KDE: removing package: xf86-video-intel
This flickering on recordings is occuring on Intel systems (intel 630 gpu or xiris for instance, but the kernel driver works fine without this package and now recording works!(problem not specific to gnome for example also cinnamon and kde, it s intel graphic related.)
