I don’t think - but with software - anything is possible.

I am leaning towards a race-condition in the wake up process.

You could try waiting 5-10 seconds before typing your unlocking passphrase.

The system is on stable branch - thus using Plasma 6.3.6.

Software wise - it could be something which has been fixed with later versions of Plasma as 6.5.3 is provided on testing branch.

Should you desire - switching branch is easy (if any custom packages - you may need to rebuild those), then do a full system sync including metadata.
