I am very happy to announce the release of SbK Manjaro Server 1125.

The SpinsbyKilz.com watermark is not present in the installed OS.

The full iso has a IceWM desktop that can be started.

All iso’s in this release include:

  1. The 6.12.48 LTS kernel.
  2. The server has Cockpit installed to help control the server in a browser on another computer.
  3. The server has Firewalld installed to help protect the server.
  4. The server has the Minidlna media server installed.
  5. The server has the Apache HTTP server installed.
  6. Cockpit, Firewalld, Apache, and Minidlna are enabled and started. The firewall is configured to allow access to the servers.
  7. The install is accomplished in a IceWM desktop. After install the minimal boots to a command prompt. The full has an IceWM desktop that can be started with startx after you login to help accomplish tasks. Once accomplished the desktop can be exited to free resources for serving.
  8. A basic Conky with matching color theme in the full iso.
  9. The menu icon in the dock of the full iso is color matched to the other themes.
  10. The iso’s are up to date as of 11/14/2025..

All iso’s also contain the standard SbK features.

  1. The latest LTS kernel.
  2. A 100% Manjaro stable install.
  3. The Spins by Kilz signed repository is enabled for SbK project packages.
  4. A signed iso. For information on checking signed iso’s visit Check ISO
  5. Bloatware has been removed (HP printer software and others).
  6. Flat packs and snaps are not installed. The back ends are also not installed but can be installed by the user.
  7. Timeshift autosnap installed. It takes a snapshot before upgrading so any bad upgrades can be easily reversed.
  8. A basic Conky with matching color theme in the full iso.

A full and very minimal iso can be found here.

As always comments, questions and suggestions are always welcome. Just post below.

This is the second release of the server. If you think there is software that would be a good fit for its purpose please post your suggestion below .

It sounds like a really nice release, that will please the majority of potential users.

For me the Cockpit and Minidlna servers would go, as I use my server differently, including how I lock it down, or rather open it up. I allow ssh and SMB only, and only to specific ip addresses on my LAN.

For Media I use my own Media ‘Database’ app, that runs on the client, and treats the mounted samba filesystem as the database.

I’m currently using the Minimal 925 build. It works well for me.

Would you share your git repo for iso-profiles?

Thats the nice thing about the rolling release model. If you have an older release that works for you, there is no need to install newer versions.

I would if I had one.
