rtl8811au how to install

hello all

i have read and attempted to follow the directions from the mar 10(i think) post about installing the proper drivers. i followed the directions and still wasnt able to get the wireless adapter working. i have followed the instructions on getting the log info requested and i shall now post it here and hopefully some one will be able to assist me. i am a step above a newbie, but not a huge step. i have searched for the answer and thought i finally found it here, until it didnt work...thank you in advance
btw it was 17 pages of output. if there was another way i was supposed to share it here please let me know.

For rtl8811au are two driver packages in AUR:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?K=rtl8811au&SB=p

To install packages from AUR you for example can use yay. So copy and paste in a terminal:

sudo pacman -Syu yay

To install the driver (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtl8821au-dkms-git/):

yay -Syu rtl8821au-dkms-git

On the package's AUR page it is recommended to try the other package (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtl88xxau-aircrack-dkms-git/) if the first one is not working:

yay -S rtl88xxau-aircrack-dkms-git

Hope that helps.

Edit: And I would reboot after the install.

Also, you must install the linux headers package before you install any DKMS driver version. Search the forum and you will usually find multiple threads detailing the install procedure for your adapter.
