Hello
my issue might be a bit weird and unconventional, so I hope I can explain everything properly. Also, I’m not sure if this is the right forum for it, but it seemed the correct one to me.
So, I installed a KVM running windows 10 on my manjaro machine. In general, everything worked fine, I got the PCI passthrough using the GTX 1080 running, I installed evdev so I can share mouse and keyboard, and everything works basically as I want it to, except for one thing.
Right now, I have attached a HDMI cable to my GTX 1080 and my second monitor. The rather annoying thing is that I have to manually switch my monitor to HDMI output and back every time I use the KVM. While this is not a dealbreaker, it is a bit annoying to do. So I was wondering if there was a way to “pipe” the HDMI output from the GTX 1080 INTO my host machine so I basically have a “virtual monitor” attached to the GTX 1080. It would also be nice if the output would appear directly in the virt-manager window. Right now, it just shows a black screen. Maybe it’s possible to reroute the HDMI output to this window?
I hope it’s understandable Would be nice if there was a way to do this!
