Removing 'Category' folders in Gnome menu

Hi,
I am thinking about giving Gnome a try (Love Evolution, weird, but true!).
Just wanted to know is there a way to delete the ‘category’ folders in the Gnome menu (Office, System, Utilities etc. etc.) ?
I am using Manjaro KDE but wanted to give Gnome a shot for fun.

There is. Two ways:

  1. just drag all the apps out. Easy but cumbersome
  2. use dconf editor. Search for app-folders and delete them. All the apps will spill out.
