Dear forum,
recently I switched from plain ALSA to Pipewire with Wireplumber in an i3wm environment. Sound from speakers and headphones and bluetooth do work in general. There is only one issue:
When headphones are plugged in or out the system gets unmuted if muted before. And if I mute the machine while headphones being plugged in, then plug them out and back in they stay muted. The headphones can only then be unmuted again using alsamixer or pavucontrol what is a bit uncomfortable.
My question is: Is there a way to keep pipewire from changing the mute/unmute status by plugging in/out a headphone? With plain ALSA this has never been a problem.
