Refusing to install AUR packages as root, aborting

I’m trying to install open-fuse-iso to mount an img file and I am getting an error saying that it is refusing to install AUR packages as root, aborting
Is there any way i can fix this? I’m pretty sure I am not root.
Thanks, tobfos.

Welcome at the forum, @tobfos,

how exactly did you try to install open-fuse-iso? Also, when you get errors, post them precisely.

Welcome to the forum!

But you might have used sudo. That gives you root privileges for the command you’re executing.

When using an AUR helper such as yay or trizen, you must not prefix the command with sudo. The AUR helper needs to be run from an unprivileged account and will itself ask you for the administrative password when needed.
