I recently installed Manjaro KDE along with kernel 5.14 and noticed that I began experiencing issues with logging in.
Namely, when the system boots up and I have fprint enabled, more often than not, the login screen hangs after entering my login details (even when I’m not using my fingerprint) and I have to use ctrl-alt-f2
to go into a TTY session and run startx
manually.
The moment I removed the line that enables fprint login from /etc/pam.d/sddm
, regular login worked immediately.
Is there a known issue with SDDM and pam.d or fprint in regards to this issue?
