Recommended USB Wifi adapter?

I am looking for a USB Wifi adapter that is supported by the kernel. Is there such a thing? The one I have relies on a github driver that may or may not work after a kernel update.
This is what I am using now:

Realtek 802.11ac NIC type: USB
    driver: rtl8821cu

Any suggestions?

I looked into a few of those models, and as far as I can tell, it always depends on downloading drivers. That means the dev behind the driver has to keep it up to date. Just wondering if anyone knows of a device with kernel support, or with some kind of magic driver that always keeps up with the times.

I can tell you a couple of adapter which works

  • TP-LINK TL-WN722H v1.1 (0cf3:9271)
  • Ralink Technology, Corp. RT5370 (148f:5370)

I use Edimax AC1750 USB wifi adapter, and its driver is available in AUR.
