tried with terminal and got this error : Failed to register: Timeout was reached

There seems to be a bug with nautilus + nemo plugins being broken by the glib2 update that was pushed. Do you have a Dropbox or mega plugin for nautilus installed?
yes, I have a megasync plugin in use…
Does removing that fix the issue?
I guess it does… I removed the plugin and it worked after restarting gnome-shell

You can either downgrade or upgrade glib2 (I upgraded). Glib2 2.66.7-1 is in the unstable branch now as soon as it makes its way to stable it will fix the issue. Hopefully Phil will push it straight to stable if you want to wait for the update
