Raspberry Pi Kernels (2.0)

Not related with kernel but can we have an update of rpi-eeprom 20220726. The last version is 20221104.

@Strit Thanks for 6.0.8-2 !

I don’t know if it’s the perspective of the future LTS but the rpi team follows the kernel releases with a version 6.0.12…

Thanks for the headsup. linux-rpi4 and linux-rpi4-mainline are now building.

I think I will update linux-rpi4-mainline to 6.1, when 6.1.1 is released.

UPDATE: Uploaded to unstable branch.

ok, 6.1.1 released.

And it’s in unstable branch.

Thanks for this. Right on time !

Can we have a synchronization with Arch for :
rpi-eeprom 20221207
firmware-raspberrypi 20221219
raspberrypi-userland-aarch64-git (raspberrypi-firmware 20221019 for arch)

Done. Uploaded to unstable branch.

Our package uses a different version numbering schema, so I need to check with @darksky first to see how we determine the versions here.

UPDATE: Ray was on board with the version change, so this has also now been done and uploaded to unstable branch.

Done. Uploaded to unstable branch.

I think that 6.1.2 is now available from RPI Team and it’s a good thing because this kernel version has lots of patches Linux 6.1.2 Closed Out 2022 With Many Backported Fixes - Phoronix

It’s weird. Their default (5.15) branch has not seen updates in over 2 weeks.

linux-rpi4-mainline-6.1.2 on the way.

Edit : They’ve just updated their defaut branch Commits · raspberrypi/linux · GitHub

And they release a 6.2 branch

Maybe they miss the git pull after new year’s eve…

Yeah, but it’s still 5.15.84 based, not 5.15.86 which is current.

They are on the edge of their seats on the 6.1 branch: 6.1.3 is out.
This could be their future main branch.

As 6.1 is slated to be the next LTS, it will be their next default/main branch. It’s just not yet.

Do you think you can provide 6.1.3 kernel for RPI ?
