ARM development is progressing, but since less of us use it compared to Intel/AMD, naturally the pace is a bit slower, at least for now.
However, usually it’s preferred to start a new topic and link to the old one, also providing system info etc. where necessary, as this will often result in more on it. This may still be split to a new topic, you’ll have a notification if this happens so you can follow it.
Pretty much the only difference between the 2 images would be the kernel but I am assuming you have already upgraded the kernel on your pi4 and it is still ok. So maybe it may be an issue with the cm5. It uses a different kernel than the pi4. If it was me I would open a ticket here:
The previous install was also on a rpi5 with the same hyperpixel screen. I hadn’t used it in a few weeks, so it wasn’t up-to-date. Unfortunately, I erased the NVMe so I can’t check what kernel was running on it.
On the new install (cm5, same DPI hyperpixel screen), I ran an upgrade and now the screen isn’t working anymore. I’ll open an issue on github.
