Raspberry Pi 3 + Mate = error

I try to install USB booting on Raspberry Pi.
I have used Two storages, SD card for boot and SSD for root.

I downloaded Manjaro-Arm_Mate_rpi2_18.05.zip and unzip.

/dev/mapper/loop0p1: SEC_TYPE=“msdos” UUID=“52E7-7415” TYPE=“vfat” PARTUUID=“5a237278-01”
/dev/mapper/loop0p2: UUID=“af59365f-ec9d-4005-ba26-c4618d6d96a4” TYPE=“ext4” PARTUUID=“5a237278-02”

First is copied to SD card and Second is copied to SSD.

And edit cmdline.txt and fstab.

After all, Boot raspberry pi. and show the login screen of Mate windows.

Unfortunately, It’s impossible to use mouse and keyboard.

I mounted sd card, ssd to another linux box. check Xorg.log.

“No devices Error…”

Help me…

The MATE edition is no longer supported.

Regarding the keyboard and mouse issue, what is the content of your /etc/fstab?

UUID="52E7-7415"        /boot   vfat    defaults,noatime        0       0
UUID="af59365f-ec9d-4005-ba26-c4618d6d96a4"     /       ext4    defaults,noatime        0       0
UUID="54de736e-ca62-417f-abda-a3df6ea5ecbf"     none swap sw 0 0

and cmdline.txt is

root=UUID=af59365f-ec9d-4005-ba26-c4618d6d96a4 rootfstype=ext4 console=tty1 selinux=0 plymouth.enable=0 dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 elevator=deadlint fsck.repair=yes rw rootwait quiet splash rootdelay=5

What does ls /boot/ give? Are there any files there?

I don’t know. You are not using a standard setup, so I don’t know how it’s suppose to work.
As I said, the MATE edition is no longer maintained or supported. :frowning:

I hope to booting via USB disk.

Ok. Thanks…

Maybe @grayjack knows something?

Are you looking for booting from USB or /boot in SD and / in the USB?
