Random reboots daily

Another reboot on 5.10

This is not useable. Have to start looking at an other distro

Now it crashed on kernel 5.4. Dont think it has done that before

I dont think its that bug. My computer has never crashed while I been using it. Only when I’m afk. Can leave and when I come back it has rebooted

Also I’m not on a Skylake CPU. My computer has a i3-9300T and thats a Kaby Lake CPU

I have an other thread where I ask for help with my computer that reboots when idle. But I dont get any help there so I’m gonna try again in a new thread.

My computer just rebooted 2 time last 3 hours. Happened while it has idle Ia am not using it.

I really need help fixing this
I run on a HP Elitedesk with a Manjaro Gnome fully updated

Hi @niclasc,

I’m in no way an expert, so I might be wrong. However, this:

leads me to think it might have something to do with hibernation. Is it enabled? If so, have you tried disabling it to see if it makes a difference?

What command did you use to get/create that log?
This looks like (part of) a normal boot log.

We would probably need the log of the prior boot and subsequent shutdown.
… to perhaps see what made it shut down … on it’s own …

journalctl
was probably used

man journalctl
journalctl --list-boots

the -b parameter selects the boot protocol
0 is current
-1 the one before

run it via sudo - it sometimes gives more info
(can’t describe the obvious difference better)

I recently returned to Manjaro after running Pop_os for a while. I moved to Pop_os because I had problems with that my computer reboots at random.
Now after I’m back to Manjaro I keep having problem with that my computer reboot.
Pop_os was rock solid. No problem.

Can anyone help me how to fix this?

Creating duplicate threads does not help the cause and is bad forum etiquette. Now that everything is in one place, it’s a lot easier to review your logs and such.

Using a mainline kernel that’s currently in an early RC (Release Candidate) stage will probably exasperate the problem, not solve it. Use either the latest stable or an LTS (Long Term Release) kernel.

Why does it reboot when running manjaro. But not when running Pop_os or Windows??

Manjaro & Pop!_OS use different kernels. Speaking of which, have you tried the latest stable (5.13) or an LTS kernel (5.10, 5.4, etc.)?

Last reboot was on 5.10
