Random Freezes and Freezes at Midnight

Hey there,
I set up Manjaro XFCE a couple of days ago, and am experiencing random freezes. Switching the tty is not possible during these freezes and the fans grow mad.

I already switched from recent kernels to 5.9 LTS, but the freezes continue.

I set the system up for a non-technical person, so the system is default in most parts.

Apart from testing 5.4 LTS kernel, what else do you recommend me to check and try to narrow down the problem? I am really confused that the problem triggered at midnight two days in a row (I am letting it idly run with some programs to try to reproduce the freezes, and it seems the crashes are not application-specific).

Does this also happen on a live ISO?

Despite saying

this does not indicate a pristine system as you could very well have installed something with an erratic behavior.

You will have to install linux510 as linux59 is EOL and unsupported

Yes I know - ISO’s come with 5.9 - but it is still EOL and you will have to replace it.

Thanks for your reply. Switching to linux510 kernel seems to have solved the problem.
I wonder however, why does the Manjaro ISOs come with EOL kernel?

The newest ISO doesn’t, it has 5.10
