Qtcreator: can not set the language

Hi,
i have German as system language, which works fine in all applications and the XFCe desk. Only qtcreator refuses to use it. I can’t choose any other language in qtcreator tools-options-environment-interface apart from english.

the output of locale is:

LC_NUMERIC=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_TIME=de_DE.UTF-8

Not a big issue, but how can i change this to german?
