Mhwd-gpu :: status warning: could not find '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-mhwd.conf'!

When I run mhwd-gpu I get:

:: status
warning: could not find '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-mhwd.conf'!

When I run it with --setxorg pathname, it DELETES pathname.

When I restore the mhwd file from backup, mhwd --status then says:

:: status
  xorg configuration file: ''

How do I get mhwd-gpu --status to return some useful information?

and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…

  1. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)

  2. What is the mhwd --install command you used to install your driver?

P.S. If you enter a bit more details in your profile, we can also see which Desktop Environment you’re using, which CPU/GPU you have, …
