Problems with audio: Output works on a profile with default settings but not on main profile

On my main profile PulseAudio Volume Control does not display the usual outputs that I am used to seeing when I use my system and am not getting sound through my speakers or headphones. See below.

I created a test user account and it plays audio just fine. See below.

I am not sure how but the settings must have changed, and am having trouble changing them back.

Just figured out a solution. The hardware profile (?) that was selected was incorrect.

What I did was

pamac install pavucontrol-qt

Opened pavucontrol-qt. In the configuration tab, I changed my built in audio profile to one that worked!
