Yes, that’s typically the recommended source for the official Manjaro ISOs. Sometimes (and this is one of those times) it is suggested to use a pre-release ISO to hopefully overcome difficulties after a large update.
This ISO (or a subsequent pre-release) will likely form the basis of the new official release ISO, but that may not be released for some weeks (or it may be released tomorrow, we can’t say).
Nonetheless, the link is available from the Stable Update 2025-12-08 Announcement topic, and has been suggested for now (this could change at any time).
But the main problem: The computer that I wasn’t able to boot is the only one, that can create a bootable USB-Stick. And the ISO-file is too big for a DVD.
That could indeed be an inconvenience, however, the ISO will fit on a blank DualLayer DVD, if that’s an option.
