Problematic microphone

Hi guys! i had a similar problem before but now nothing helps. I checked every topic about the microphone on the forum and none of the solutions helped me…

I have problem with my microphone, i can’t record my voice, no one can hear me on a call.
I have tried already:

  1. downgrade alsa / reinstall alsa - it helps before but now not.
  2. downgrade/upgrade kernel
  3. change desktop environment to plasma or cinamon

Can You guys help me please? What can i do to better show the problem?

Best regards!

ok, so try to install pipewire with this package: manjaro-pipewire
if you get any dependencies issues, uninstall them first, then install pipewire and reboot and check

i had to uinstiall some pulseaudio dependencies, i did it and i installed manjaro-pipewire

Preparing...
Warning: manjaro-pipewire-20220217-2 is up to date -- skipping
Nothing to do.
Transaction successfully finished.

then rebooted system and still the same

try installing sof-firmaware and reboot and check
if doesnt work install the latest kernel 5.17, reboot, boot with the 5.17 kernel and check

Ok so, sof-firmware was allready installed:

Warning: sof-firmware-2.1.1-1 is up to date -- skipping

i istalled and run kernel 5.17, reboot my system unfortunately it did not bring any effect

System:
  Kernel: 5.17.1-1-rt17-MANJARO arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 11.2.0

you could try command in this link, then reboot and check

I’m sorry for the late response. I tried this command as one of the first, unfortunately it did not help.

so you could try to boot into manjaro xfce usb and in the live session try the microphone
