We will need more information to assist you in resolving your issue.

How to provide your hardware specs:

When running the commands to detect your hardware, please ensure the following:

Do not have any USB WiFi adapter connected (except the adapter you are attempting to troubleshoot).
Do not have any USB to Ethernet adapter connected (except the adapter you are attempting to troubleshoot).
Do not have "phone tethering" operating while the hardware detection commands are run.

Reboot the computer with all other removable network devices disconnected first, then run the following commands:

Please post:

inxi -Fxxxz && ls /usr/share/xsessions/
hwinfo --netcard --bluetooth | grep -Ei "(hotplug|speed|model|status|cmd|file|detected|driver:)" | grep -v "Config S"
cat /etc/resolv.conf

WiFi troubleshooting tips:

  • Make sure you reboot both your router and computer before opening any help request.
  • Have you tried deleting, then recreating your connections profile in Network Manager.
  • Sometimes a hard power down is required. Disconnect/remove all power sources (including any battery) before restarting.
  • Ensure your system is fully up to date with:
    sudo pacman -Syyu
  • Check that your WiFi isn't blocked by rfkill:
    rfkill list all
  • If there are any "soft blocks" returned as "yes" then:
    sudo rfkill unblock all
  • If there are any "hard blocks" returned as "yes", then ensure that no function keys (airplane mode), or hidden switches are disabling your wireless.
  • Resetting your bios to default can be also be helpful if an adapter is undetected/hard blocked/not working properly.
  • Consider resetting your router back to the factory default settings as well.
  • If your installed driver came from the AUR (or gitub) and it stopped working after an update, you may simply need to rebuild your driver.
  • If your WiFi broke after an update (and rebuilding the driver didn't help), then try testing different kernels.
  • Use Manjaro Settings Manager to install and test both older and newer kernel versions whenever experiencing issues.
  • Ensure that your network adapter is enabled in the bios.
  • Resetting your bios to default can solve many problems.
  • Install a bios update (if there is one available).
  • Install and test the newest firmware available for your WiFi adapter.
  • Install the newest firmware available for your router.
  • If you are having issues with your WiFi adapter being detected on a laptop, try putting the laptop into suspend, then resume and check your WiFi status.
  • Test out Manjaro live boot disks with different DE's, or with other distros. If your WiFi works on any other live media, take note of the kernel and driver in use.
  • Ensure there is no MAC address or IP filtering enabled in the router and all new devices are allowed.
  • Ensure no IP addresses or hostnames are duplicated and conflicting on your network.
  • Temporarily disable any firewall software to be sure that is not interfering with getting a connection.
  • Temporarily disable password authentication in your router as a troubleshooting test (do not leave it disabled).
  • Try disabling IPv6 in your router and (or) in Network Manager, (if it is already disabled try enabling it).
  • Ensure that your network connection is not hidden in your router's settings.
  • Try assigning your computer a static IP address via MAC address association through your router configuration settings.
  • Test your WiFi connection with a different router if possible.
  • If this is a laptop have you tested it on alternate networks such as at a friends or neighbors, internet cafe etc.
  • Ensure any USB WiFi adapter is attached directly to the computer, (not through a USB hub).
  • Do not use any USB extension cabling during troubleshooting as this can interfere with proper adapter operation.
  • Unplug any wired network LAN cable, USB phone tethering, or any other USB network adapter, then reboot before running any diagnostic commands.

Problem not solved.

What did you test out? I gave you a pretty big list of potential fixes to try.

I tested it: WLAN is deactivated after every 2nd boot!? RT3090 Wireless driver rt2800pci v: 2.3.0 on lenovo ideapad s205
But it seems to be the firmware.

sudo dmesg | grep wlan
[ 14.343475] rt2800pci 0000:02:00.0 wlp2s0: renamed from wlan0
[ 519.384494] rt2800pci 0000:02:00.0 wlp2s0: renamed from wlan0

sudo ip link set wlp2s0 up

If I wanted a short list outputted from lsmod, I would have asked for that.

Either a hardware switch is blocking your wifi, or you have a manufacturers module blocking your Wifi. If you had output the lsmod I asked for I would know the answer.

Search for your hardware "wmi" modules and how to blacklist them. I don't have enough patience to wet nurse users who will not post requested outputs or provide information on which fixes the have tested. Especially when I went to the trouble of posting an entire check list for you.

Good luck getting your issue resolved, and just FYI empty bumps are against the forum rules.

I'm done here.

So far everything that has been quoted has been tested and I always study solutions to a problem, the return of lsmod is enormous and it would be interesting to post in a pastebin and I found the filtering of the output better. Other sites mention the same problem and with the same hardware. Anyway, thank you for your willingness to help.

Every one of these suggestions I gave could possibly resolve your issue. Did you test these fixes? Ive asked this before and got no response.

You have not confirmed if you performed the procedures I recommended above, you have also provided 0 background info.

Is this a new install? Nothing 0 background. Has this adapter worked in Linux before. Zero background, zero response when asked if you had performed the suggestions on my list.

In short having to pry information out of you, is just too trying for my patience. You are not being very helpful, and you get what you give (if you are starting to get my drift).

Did you test different kernels? This is one of the most likely fixes to your issue, but without background info I couldn't say how likely. Search the terms "hard power down". Change the pci slot on your motherboard your wifi is in.

I repeat, you provided no information when requested.

How many times do I have to ask this question before you provide an answer?

Do you seriously believe this? If so, you've got bigger issues than your wifi. Put on your big boy boots and do your own digging. I don't have the patience for users that provide no feedback to suggestions when requested. Remote troubleshooting cannot be performed this way.

Quit whining I dropped your help request like a hot potato for no reason on other threads, when you fully brought that on yourself by being uncooperative.

Done, and done again.

(edit) I now see you posted a solution and finally provided an answer (while I was writing this reply).
Your posted solution provides about as much clarity as the rest of your answers. Zero.

I already inserted the topic as resolved. And I thank you for your attention. I do not want to discuss something that off topic and generate discussions.

Your posted solution is 10 different links with possibly a half dozen recommendations (or more) on each thread. As all your other responses, you again leave everyone guessing as to what the answer is. Are you simply trolling the forum, because it seems you are being deliberately evasive to questions, and provide answers about as clear as mud (when you provide them at all).

What do you need to know? I tried to be objective. Report within the topic what still needs to know that I answer in the morning, it is dawn soon. I understand that may have lost some more information. Please be objective and avoid off topics.
But as far as I understand, you understanded the problem.

Problem solved by inserting the module that was causing problem in the blacklist:

blacklist rt2800pci
blacklist rt2800usb
blacklist rt2x00lib
blacklist rt2x00pci
blacklist rt2x00usb

There is an AUR package exactly to solve the problem with the Ralink 3090 driver chip, but this package was abandoned since of 2013 by Ivan Alexandrovich and since of 2011 by Markus Hebeling being extracted from his ppa and Ralink 3090 driver ppa and arachnid92 in AUR.

There is a report in the Arch forum that the AUR package solved the incompatibility problem.
