Problem mit neuem Monitor

Moin Moin,
nach längerer Zeit benötige ich mal wieder eure Hilfe.
Ich habe mir zu Weihnachten ein neuen Monitor (Thinkvision 27HV-30) als Ersatz für meinen alten (15 Jahre bestimmt) Samsung 19’’ gegönnt. Mein System ist ein Dualboot (WIN 10 und Manjaro), bei Windows läuft alles glatt, aber bei Manjaro bekomme ich die Meldung “Input not supported”. Wenn ich den PC mittels eines Live-Manjaro-USB (mit properitären Treibern) starte, funktioniert alles tadellos. Meine Vermutung ist, das ich irgendwie den Grafiktreiber oder die Grafikeinstellungen des Systems ändern muss. Wie könnte ich das aber am besten und sichersten (quasi Idiotensicher) machen???

Vielen Dank für die Hinweise.

Werde morgen dann mal beim booten in die Komandozeile vom Grub wechseln und den Befehl eingeben. Wie ich den “Bericht” dann irgendwie exportiert und wie gewünscht in meinen Ursprungspost bekomme, weiss ich noch nicht. Hoffe, das ich den nicht per 2 Finger- System ins Handy (von dem ich ja aktuell schreiben muss) übertragen muss.

Der Befehl ist in der Konsole einzugeben, nicht vom grub-menu aus! Geht auch nach Booten der Live ISO. Upload geht (sofern Internet-Verbindung besteht) mit pastebin-services, siehe hier:

Ich arbeite ja eigentlich nur mit einer grafischen Oberfläche, von daher bräuchte ich noch mal Unterstützung, mit welchen Befehlen ich das via Livesystem in “meinem” Hauptsystem ändern kann.

Hallo @Firemedic,

wie @Weingeist schon erwähnt, hat man bei Xorg und Nvidia eine Textdatei, die alles regelt. In der Regel kannst du die genannten Dateien unter /etc/X11/ finden und entsprechend mit einem Texteditor bearbeiten. Und da wirst du wohl auch diese Auflösung gesetzt haben.

Ansonsten entferne die mhwd config in der Live-Sitzung:

sudo manjaro-chroot -a

Dann:

mhwd --remove pci video-nvidia-390xx

Dann wird wieder der nouveau Treiber verwendet. Wenn es dann ein Bild zeigt bei der lokalen Installation (da es nun die Auflösung automatisch erkennt und nicht fixiert ist auf eine Xorg configuration), kannst du den Nvidia-Treiber wieder installieren.

Ja, dann zeig mal, welche config du installiert hast…

mhwd -l && mhwd -li

Ansonsten wirst du bestimmt wissen, wie und was du installiert hast und wenn es jemand anderes gemacht hat, dann frag am besten diese Person.

Also so langsame glaube ich, dass du uns hier nicht die ganze Geschichte erzählst. Durch einen Monitorwechsel entsteht ein solches Problem zu 100% nicht. Wenn ich mir die Terminal-Ausgabe ansehe, dann vermute ich weitere Probleme, die du ignoriert hast und bei Windows geblieben bist. Jedenfalls, wäre die einfache Lösung für dich: Daten sichern und Neuinstallation, ansonsten wird sich das über Tage ziehen hier im Forum, gerade weil das Wissen hier fehlt und anscheinend auch das Interesse, es zu erweitern. Hier kann meiner Meinung nichts mehr “Idiotensicher” repariert werden.

Wirklich sehr schade, das der Eindruck entsteht “ich wuerde nicht die ganze Geschichte erzaehlen”. Mir erklaert sich nicht, warum ein User der Hilfe benoetigt das machen sollte. Fakt ist, mit dem alten Monitor lief alles einwandfrei und mit dem Lenovo habe ich mit Manjaro das oben aufgefuehrte Problem.

Ich habe selber das Manjaro vor ein paar Jahren installiert und wenn etwas mal nicht funktioniert hatte, habe ich es hier im Forum angefragt und entsprechend umgesetzt.

'systemctl daemon-reload'

habe ich noch nicht ausgefuehrt, da ich nicht sicher bin was dann passiert. SDE1 ist ja der USB Stick und wenn ich Grub und fstab lese, glaube ich das man genau wissen sollte was man da macht bevor man sich alles zerschiest.

Die nvidia.conf bzw. die xorg.conf konnte ich nicht in dem etc/X11/ Ordner finden um nach zu schauen, was dort eingestellt ist.
Hier nun der Auszug von

Um das Eigenverschulden auf das Betriebssystem abzuladen. Deswegen erzählen viele nicht die ganze Geschichte oder nur Bruchstücke. Damit erhofft man sich Support von Community, aber eigentlich ist das typisches Verhalten eines 0815-Nutzers, der bei der Garantiegewährleistung betrügen will und es so aussehen lassen will, als ob er nichts gemacht hat und alles ordnungsgemäß verwendet hat. Die “Garantiegewährleistung” kann man im Forum dann mit “Chance, dass sich jemand dafür interessiert” beschreiben.

Nichts Persönliches, aber sowas gibt sehr häufig bei Neulingen.

Auch nicht in den Unterordnern?

Na siehste mal, dann ist der Nvidia Treiber ja garnicht installiert. Installier den mal:

mhwd --install pci video-nvidia-390xx
