Problem installing Video Download Helper Companion App 1.6.3 on Firefox rinning on a Pi 400

I’m new to Manjaro. Most of my experience is with Debian based distributions. I’m having a problem installing from the terminal, the companion app for the Video DownloadHelper extension on Firefox. Otherwise Manjaro KDE Plasma runs very nicely on the Pi 400. I feell the issue is most likely my inexperience with Manjaro.

Linux targz installation

targz user-wide install

tar xf net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3-1_amd64.tar.gz -C ~ # ~/net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3/bin/net.downloadhelper.coapp-linux-64 install --user

targz system-wide install

sudo tar xf net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3-1_amd64.tar.gz -C /usr/local # sudo /usr/local/net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3/bin/net.downloadhelper.coapp-linux-64 install --system

Terminal output:
[pi400@PlasmaPi Downloads]$ ls
autumn-hickories-trees-in-forest-ezv3bpk1umlnxzbc.jpg net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3-1_amd64.tar.gz wp9142521-black-tech-wallpapers.jpg wp9153553-dark-tech-wallpapers.jpg
net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3 wp10045455-technology-hd-desktop-wallpapers.jpg ‘wp9153536-dark-tech-wallpapers(1).jpg’ wp9153624-dark-tech-wallpapers.jpg
net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3-1_amd64.deb wp1947793-manjaro-wallpapers.jpg wp9153536-dark-tech-wallpapers.jpg
[pi400@PlasmaPi Downloads]$ sudo su
[root@PlasmaPi Downloads]# tar xf net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3-1_i386.tar.gz -C ~
tar: net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3-1_i386.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
[root@PlasmaPi Downloads]# ~/net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3/bin/net.downloadhelper.coapp-linux-32 install --user
bash: /root/net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3/bin/net.downloadhelper.coapp-linux-32: No such file or directory

This filename indicates that it’s for amd64, not arm64.

Thanks, that in all likelihood is the problem. Can you recommend an alternative downloader extension that would work with Youtube?

I don’t use any, so I can’t. Sorry.
