Apps randomly not responding and visual problems

Hello everyone!

Let me catch up real quick, what happened:
I had Manjaro installed for over a year on laptop & desktop and now wanted to try EndeavourOS on my desktop. After installing, there were so many weird issues (will get into that later) and it was basically un-usable. Also after a few hours already I missed my Manjaro and wanted to just cleanly install it again, which I did (on a brand new nvme). Sadly now I have on my new Manjaro install the same dumb issues as previously with Endeavour (and only there). I never had these problems with any other Manjaro install I ever had.

So, to be honest, I don’t know if it has anything to do with that little distro switch, if I “forgot” anything during installing Manjaro or if the problem lays somewhere else? I never had any problems with the install process of Manjaro.

So, now to the issues I face:
I am able to normally boot my system, log in and mostly I am able to use my applications immediately and normally. After some time the program I’m using is not responding anymore and the content of the whole window visually “copies” the background/what was behind that window.
For example: I have Firefox open, watching a video, then I pause and replay the video, whole application freezes (but still in color), after some time the content of the browser window (firefox title bar, tabs, the video and so on) changes to the window/desktop behind the firefox window and I cannot click anywhere to close or minimize it. (sometimes, but not always it happens when i switch something that has audio, like a video on Firefox)
Some other times I boot my system and want to start Spotify as the first app without ANYTHING open, I can click as often as I want on the icon in the taskbar/app menu, but it won’t open - it shows the launch animation, but then just does not open :frowning: Also via terminal it is not responding and if I try to end or kill the process, it does not change something.

This issue occurs mostly on spotify and firefox, but already happened to Telegram, Software Manager, Konsole, Dolphin file manager, …

I honestly have no idea what the problem is, as I really thought that was an Endeavour problem.
What could I do to fix this issue?

sidenote: I still have my Endeavour installation on another SSD, but I never touched it after my new Manjaro install and it is planned to be deleted, but I guess it cannot affect my Manjaro boot on a whole other nvme?

Please tell me, if I can provide you with any other information and THANK YOU in advance for helping me get rid of this dumb issue :frowning:

PS: I tried to get a window to freeze and show the background, but now it’s not working  - if I face the issue again, I’ll make sure to screenshot it and provide it, so it is easier to imagine.

So, it did not take long to face the issue again. I hope it is clear through the screenshots.
As you can see, the “new window” copies the desktop image and after some time it freezes and gets graycolor. You can see there that the “Warning - Window Manager” has the content as the window behind it, which is Spectacle for the screenshots. I really hope we can find the issue :frowning:

Is there a particular reason you’re using the 470 version rather than the current 545 driver? Changing it might make a difference.

I updated my driver to 545, but the issue persists :frowning:
sorry for the late reply, as I got sick :frowning:

see attached the issue, a few minutes after updating.
