Privacy Policy on new website

Is it just me, or does the line from here not quite make sense?
[lost in translation?]

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Manjaro collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the website will not send us any information, and statistical information will be stored on the user’s website.

…as an aside, I also wonder whether it may be pertinent to somehow highlight the fact that the PP there applies to the website, and is not meant to imply that the Manjaro System collects user data.

You know, just some thoughts.

Me, or better deepl  understand ??% of the text.
Who knows it?
Some translation would be nice. German??
Next Problem

What means “PP”, privacy ??

In german it is “Pinkel-Pause”
(Pee break in a little house, on a long wall, where a men can not take a seat)

Who knew in the early sixties that English would become relevant to me? Damn!

It’s standard disclaimer for websites. Meaning server capabilities, cookies and such.
Ever heard of GDPR?

Figured it had to do with that (dunno how much it is the ‘standard’ one) but the points still stand as I see it.

@SGS - just abbreviated ‘privacy policy’, sorry.

EU-DSGVO=EU-GDPR :joy: %20I-know-this-one-too-sgs
The General Data Protection Regulation (EU)

There’s nothing you can’t regulate.

In English, it is nonsensical.

I would guess you are right and that it is a translation problem?
