Printer not working

#1

I was hoping that cups would work again after today’s update, but still the same error.
Can anyone help me find the error in my system that prevents the printer to work properly?

In one of the lines above says “No authentication data provided”. Could be a permissions problem? I have applied this command many times with no error shown: sudo chgrp -R cups /etc/cups

Any suggestion?

Have you tried the drivers from the AUR? Worked for my MFC-J4625dw.

Hi, I did a system upgrade two weeks ago and reboot the system I found that I lost connection with the network shared printers, where correctly printing last Friday.

Then, I run

I looks okay but when I send jobs they are pending.
The message is Idle - Unable to connect to CIFS host, will retry in 60 seconds…
I also tried to add another network printer through windows samba share I cannot reach the printer. I restart cups service and nothing happened.

I also found in the journalctl this:

But I discovered a minutes ago in the forum that
Processing - Tree connect failed (NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED)
can be reparied with

sudo systemctl status nmbd.service
● nmbd.service - Samba NetBIOS name server

I print a Test page and a page from an file I have opened and the problem was solved.

Could yo try this and confirm this procedure?
Best regards,
