Prepending "[SOLVED]" to a topic when solved?

Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module

I rebooted my system and was met with the error message: failed to start light display manager Tried following the guide given at [1]. However, no luck. in /var/log/Xorg.0.log i see the error message: (EE) NVIDIA: Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module Before the reboot i did update the kernel, from 5.8 to 5.9.
