Possible Missing Driver on Fresh installation of Manjaro 21.0.1 XFCE

Hi there,

I am using Manjaro for the very first time. I am experiment this Manjaro on super old laptop Toshiba Satellite A215-S4697. The sound is kind of bad, and I think I am missing driver. The kernel right now is 5.10.26.

r300: driver missing

With or without PulseEffects or both? Describe “kind of bad”.

You’re not missing the sound driver, it’s installed as part of the kernel:

What version of PulseEffects are you using? The current supported version (pulseeffects >=5.0) uses Pipewire. You’ll need to use pulseeffects-legacy if you want to use PulseAudio.
