Not yet in Stable, but per my “Edit” above [which i made prior to your reply post], it is already in Testing now, hence my KDE Testing VM already has it.

Whilst i can see some of the new features & functions, so far i still cannot deduce how to copy a dock from one Layout to another Layout [which the Dev said Latte Dock is pretty awesome is now in this new version]. I shall have to return to his video & watch again, to discover the magic trick that i seem not to be understanding yet.

Latte has such hidden tricks. For example, you can enable in it function of stripping titlebars in maximized mode (if you don’t use it from AWC or if it doesn’t work well) but it’s not obvious. It took me a while to figure it out because there is no simple box to tick “hide titlebars in maximized mode” - it’s an option of layouts and because of that we can manage which layout will have that effect and which not. I’m sure this new copying dock feature is also placed in this bit confusing layout management.

I removed Pop!_OS and installed Manjaro KDE on my System76 laptop. In this video I explain why I decided to go with Manjaro KDE. Interestingly, I gained roughly one extra hour of battery life after switching to Manjaro (which comes with TLP enabled by default). I also note that I like Arch better than Ubuntu and that I like KDE Plasma better than GNOME. Finally, I comment on some minor problems I experienced with Pop!_OS.

Still can’t grasp why anyone would choose GNOME3.

I was playing with it as never before, since i came to Manjaro, and to be honest has many good things despite the general idea that went rogue because of the developers. Still not close to serve me as i want, but once i established exactly what i wanted from what was possible, the system became rock solid. I enjoy it, i like to do some stuff in it. Then i discovered the same about Cinnamon and Budgie … XFCE is by default very stable (i’m talking about Manjaro only) … After all this experiences i could never talk bad about a DE, because all of them have something great to offer. Is true that i still prefer Plasma, it serves me in ALL situations, whatever the tasks/work, Plasma is Great !!!

Yep, agree [per other posts of mine elsewhere, Mint 18.3 & then Manjaro C really changed my opinion of C].

Oh i do agree, this DE is very useful. If i could not occasionally fire up a G3 VM to indulge my base masochistic instincts, i’d have to revert to old-school techniques like pushing rusty nails into my eyes, or using a hammer on my head [Bang bang Maxwell’s Silver Hammer came down upon my head, b.…]

All Latte shortcuts can be altered from Plasma SystemSettings->Shortcuts->Global Shortcuts->Latte

I wouldn’t fall into that. On longer thought, it does seem logical… when latte becomes integral part of Plasma but till then I would expect it to see somewhere in the settings. I guess people will have to learn that. Oh, well… maybe it’s a step in right direction. Next: get rid of Plasma panel, Latte replaces it wonderfully . Well, there is one thing latte can’t do and system panel can: move desktop icons out of the way of the panel… System panel being a plasmashell part can reserve place so icons won’t appear behind it.

EDIT: all letters close to meta are often taken when a user adds own shortcuts so it’s very likely latte will hijack it . meta+z, meta+x are used by me and meta+a was too, but I don’t need it anymore so I don’t mind it being assigned to latte.
