since I run the last update (can’t look up the exact version because of the problem) the pinephone boots to the lockscreen, as usual. It kind of reacts to touching the screen, but the keyboard would not appear to enter the password.
Anyone had a similar problem and knows how to fix this?

Are you on a Dev image?
In that case, you need to revert to a previous plasma-workspace package. It broke on Plasma Mobile the other day.
Good question, I always updated via the integrated updater.
In this case I will flash the phone, will there be a newer, fixed version?
