Pinebook: ovmf not found for qemu

#1

Hi, i’m using qemu+kvm and I dont find OVMF nor EDK2 files.

I’m loosing something about qemu or is a repo problem? O_o

I’m reading https://wiki.linaro.org/LEG/UEFIforQEMU for try to fix it ;(

Why do you need QEMU on the Pinebook?

I don’t think the Pinebook supports virtulization.

#3

You need to add ovmf to quemu config.
look here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/libvirt#UEFI_Support

But i think ovmf is not compiled for arm or it not working on arm

#4

ovmf is actually an any package, so you should be able to take one from regular Arch and install it on your system.

#5

You are wrong.

Pinebook A53 support virtualization and KVM right now.

Cool. I see you need to enable it in the kernel.

The kernel for Pinebook on Manjaro ARM is made by anarsoul from the pine community. So you should ask him to enable it in his kernel. Although Arch does make a point of going as close to mainline as possible.
