Ok, so there may have been several updates ago that the issue started, since I haven’t used the sleep function on my computer for several months.
What happens now is that if I try putting the computer to sleep is that the display goes black for a second, peripherals (keyboard, mouse, microphone) blink off and on, and I’m back in the desktop session again. This happens whether I use the power button, select sleep from the power menu, or prompt sleep from the terminal.
I haven’t changed any settings in power management or display manager, all I can tell is this has happened sometime after Wayland became the default.
What I’ve tried:
Changed from Wayland to X11 session and back again - same result.
Checked settings in power management.
Disconnected peripherals one by one in case some of them are sending a wake-up signal somehow.
Can someone please point me in the right direction as to which logs etc I need to check?

Do you have nvidia-suspend.service
and nvidia-resume.service
enabled?
systemctl enable nvidia-suspend nvidia-resume
Then try sleeping.
If you get a black screen on resume, you may also need to preserve video memory:
$ sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf
options nvidia NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1
$ sudo mkinitcpio -P
$ sudo nano /etc/default/grub
Then reboot.

Can we get a better system info snapshot?
