Window freezes when clicking off modal

I’m using PHPStorm on my laptop and whenever I accidentally click of a modal without clicking the cancel button or submit, the dialog disappears. At this point the modal is still blocking the UI but I can’t do anything to get access back to the window.

I tried reaching out to Jetbrains but they think its something to do with the Window Manager

and provide the developer with all the information we require to debug system problems.

As a workaround, try Alt+Tabbing into the modal window when it disappears. If even that doesn’t work, the only thing we can tell you is: reopen the bug and provide detailed and relevant system / application logs.

Relevant is the key here: don’t provide your entire boot log of the last month…

Thanks Fabby, I’ll get some more information to the PHPStorm developers.

Alt+Tab didn’t work either. I’ll report back here when it eventually gets resolved.
