Pamac update stuck at package v86d

After getting a Manjaro update notification, I started the update using Pamac. After updating a number of packages, the process is stuck at package v86d. The last two message lines are:

==> Beendete Erstellung: v86d 0.1.10-13 (Mi 04 Dez 2024 09:38:58 CET)
==> Räume auf...

My translation: processing finished v86d…, and cleaning up…

Package v86d is only needed by mhwd.

I can give some logs, but I need instructions how to do that.

Is it safe to cancel the whole update and restart again?

The v86d package is no longer a required dependency of mhwd and has been removed from Manjaro’s repos.

Try updating without the AUR first by running either of these commands:

pamac update --no-aur

or

sudo pacman -Syu

Once the update without the AUR has been done, remove the v86d package:

pamac remove v86d

or

sudo pacman -R v86d
