Pamac compiles entire kernel when trying to build just the kernel headers from AUR

I’ve recently installed the linux-manjaro-xanmod kernel from AUR but I forgot to install the headers package as well. When I try to do so now using “pamac install linux-manjaro-xanmod-headers” it starts to build and compile the entire kernel again. This process takes at least two hours. I’ve already installed the kernel, is it necessary for it to build and install the kernel again just for the headers?

Thanks in advance!

It is a split package. With your first build you also created the headers package. If your last build folder still exists you may just install that already completed package.

Found it and it worked! Thanks a bunch.
