I started using Manjaro Gnome a couple days ago and so far it has fixed all previous problems I was having, but I am having an issue with the touchpad scroll sensitivity, specifically with the inertia on two finger scrolling. In general I want it to be slower with less inertia, but the worst case is that I will lift my fingers after scrolling and that small motion will send the screen reeling to the end of the page.
I normally set smooth scrolling to off in firefox, and even that is completely overwritten by the system scroll setting, so the issue persists in text documents, browser, file manager, etc.
I have looked at the touchpad setting through the Gnome setting menu, as well as seeing if any xinput properties seemed to be related, but I could not find anything. I don’t have sensitivity issues with the touchpad in any other way than scrolling. I’m not able to find anything in the libinput documentation that talks about inertial scrolling at all, so I’m not sure if I’m looking in the right place.
My laptop is a Thinkpad T440, so probably not the greatest touchpad, but it has worked pretty well for me so far. Is there anything else that I should look at changing? Thanks for all the help.
