Pacman-Mirrors issue

#1

I’ve encountered an interesting problem while trying to update my software/install.

When running: sudo pacman-mirrors -g, the next errors shows up:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/pacman-mirrors", line 23, in <module> from pacman_mirrors import pacman_mirrors ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pacman_mirrors'

What can be done about this error?

#2

This option doesn’t exist any more. Are you up-to-date?

#3

That’s the thing. Not sure if I am or not.
Haven’t been able to update my system for awhile now…
Wonder if my install got botched and some packages/dependencies weren’t installed at all.

#4

I think it is reasonable to assume you are not up-to-date.

What is the output of sudo pacman -Syyu

#8

You have tagged the issue with Manjaro ARM but as far as I know pacman-mirrors does not work on Manjaro ARM.

#9

Manjaro ARM is using the old pacman-mirrors, where it has a static mirror list and uses -g to rank them.

#10

Try getting the newest pacman-mirrorlist package from here. You can install it with:

sudo pacman -U http://mirror.strits.dk/manjaro-arm/stable/any/core/pacman-mirrorlist-20181215-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
