I can't change to a custom resolution permanently on xrandr only on nvidia temporarily

so i cant change to 1920x1080 because my monitor is 1920x1200 and i dont like it at all so i tried to change it and everything to permanent but it doesnt work at all when i log out it goes back to 1920x1200
and i have to change it manually on nvidia-settings to 1920x1080 someone help i looked everywhere online and none if it works

and if i restart as well my resolution goes back to 1920x1200

Same problem here on Cinnamon, which began only recently.
I tried saving settings to nvidia.conf, no effect.
Xrandr shell scripts also have no effect in xinitrc.d
