Hello, I’m a new Manjaro user and I’m just setting up my system. I have a VPN client set up on my router so all of our home traffic routes through it. I noticed I was getting “cannot connect…connection refused” type errors when running the first big batch of updates. I turned off the VPN and all of those connections resolved and the packages downloaded. I’ve been running Ubuntu for a few years and have never had that problem before. Do I need to change network settings to allow for updates over VPN? Thanks!
Your primary mirror has probably blocked the IP address of the VPN server.
Thanks Ben. I didn’t think of that, but I had that happen before with something else. I’ll choose a new server and give it a go. Much appreciated.
