Packagekit Issue (Service Crashes)

I have an issue that I noticed while trying to install yt-dlp. The step where it re-runs packagekit always timed out, and after trying a re-install of packagekit, it still is broken. Trying to restart the service before the re-install resulted in it failing to start, and restarts of the system also failed.

Not sure what to do from here.

From journalctl -xe:

What does the core dump say?
Or the service? ex:

systemctl status packagekit

Also … may I ask what you are using packagekit for?

Ok, got it, it didn’t like a custom system argument to /etc/pacman.

Glad its worked it.
But I asked because packagekit is not only not required … but warned against if you are trying to use it for system package management. ( in lieu of, ex, pacman )
Its your system of course. But ‘there be dragons’ and whatnot.
